Wounded Healers Silver Series

Wounded Healers Silver Series

Honouring the Ones Who Carry the Weight So Others May Heal

Behind every siren, every flashing light, and every sterile room filled with machines, there are people — human beings who bear witness to humanity’s most fragile moments. The Wounded Healers Silver Series was born from the desire to honour those silent warriors: the nurses, paramedics, physicians, firefighters, and police officers who give so much of themselves in service to others.

Created in collaboration with internationally acclaimed artist Daniel Sundahl (DanSun), this series transforms his deeply personal and emotional artwork into fine silver — capturing the heartache, courage, and unseen cost of caring. Each piece is both tribute and testament: a reminder that behind every uniform is a person carrying their own invisible scars.

Purpose & Partnership

This project was created to help raise awareness about PTSD and mental stress injuries among first responders and healthcare professionals. Every day, these individuals face trauma that lingers long after the scene is cleared. Many continue to serve silently, others struggle, and some are lost along the way.

A portion of all sales is donated to Wounded Warriors Canada, whose mission is to honour and support Canada’s ill and injured Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders, and their families.

We’re proud to have already contributed to this cause — and we remain committed to ensuring that each coin sold continues to support healing and conversation. Together, we can make a difference.

The Artwork: Stories in Silver

Each round in this series transforms one of Daniel Sundahl’s hauntingly beautiful photo-illustrations into a lasting metal canvas. His art is known worldwide for capturing the emotional reality of frontline work — the exhaustion, loss, and quiet courage of those who never stop showing up.

The OR

In tribute to medical staff, doctors, and nurses.

“This scene shows an Operating Room team after the loss of their patient... Although they did everything they could, they were not able to save their friend. If you look closely, you can see the nurse still holding the hand of the patient and the patient’s spirit standing against the back wall.”
Daniel Sundahl

This piece honors those who heal others while often bearing their own grief in silence. It captures the unseen weight that follows healthcare professionals long after the surgical lights dim.

You Are Not Alone

In tribute to Firefighters.

“This image is based on a call where an entire family was killed in a car accident... For this image, I show her as an angel still holding her toy bear. So now when I think of that scene, I think of this picture instead—the little girl, in a better place, still with her toy.”
Daniel Sundahl

A powerful symbol of remembrance, You Are Not Alone speaks to the burden of loss carried by those who run toward the flames — and the light that can still be found in compassion, memory, and faith.

Non Save

In tribute to EMS and Paramedics.

“Paramedics are our own worst critics... I don’t know what’s worse, feeling like I may have failed my patient, or failed their family.”
Daniel Sundahl

This design captures the haunting introspection that follows failed rescues — the self-doubt and replayed moments that can weigh heavier than any physical exhaustion. It’s a tribute to the unseen courage it takes to return to duty and keep serving.

A Girl’s Doll

In tribute to Police.

“First responders are like anyone else and are equally susceptible to mental injuries... A full bucket of water might spill a bit, but it’s still functioning as a bucket... The problem is that a full bucket gets heavier the longer you carry it... The trick is to empty it once in a while — and it takes help to do that.”
Daniel Sundahl

This piece is a quiet reflection on compassion and endurance — the moment after tragedy, when duty collides with humanity. It reminds us that even protectors need care, and even the strongest must sometimes set down the weight they carry.

The Meaning Behind the Metal

Each round in the Wounded Healers collection is struck in 1 oz of .999 fine silver, crafted to preserve both the precision of DanSun’s imagery and the gravity of its message. Every piece includes a color-printed Certificate of Authenticity and comes sealed for preservation.

But beyond the silver lies something more enduring — a reminder that courage isn’t the absence of pain, but the strength to keep showing up despite it. These rounds were made to be collected, displayed, or given as gifts of gratitude — tokens of empathy, connection, and healing.
